As a Drywall Installer and Finisher, your tasks will include:

• Applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to achieve a flawless finish.
• Cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids and placing panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets with precision.
• Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smoothing out excess compound and allowing coats to dry.
• Taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound.
• Working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• A Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
