This temporary position offers the opportunity to work 60 to 70 hours per week, driving various types of trucks and ensuring the safe transport of goods across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods efficiently.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
• Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
• Certificates and Licenses:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
• Documentation Knowledge:

  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection reports
• Transportation/Travel Experience: Local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul
