Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, detailing gross and net salaries along with deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
  • Store, update, and retrieve financial data efficiently.
  • Perform clerical duties, including maintaining organized filing systems.
  • Assist with human resources-related tasks, such as personnel selection.
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconciling issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Complete and submit documentation for the administration of benefits, including pension plans, leaves, share savings, and medical insurance.
  • Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Track employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements using both manual and computerized systems.
  • Prepare T4 statements and other necessary documentation.
