Key Responsibilities
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will:
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Obtain special permits and documents required for transporting cargo on international routes.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
