As a Drywall Taper, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.

• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets with precision.
• Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.

• Taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound.
• Cutting openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.

Requirements

• Experience ranging from 7 months to less than 1 year in drywall tapering or a related field.
