Key Responsibilities
As a Tilesetter, your primary tasks will include:
- Preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered
- Mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels
- Setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base
- Aligning and straightening tiles for a flawless finish
- Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- Packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout
- Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
- Laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
- Building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
- Installing tile strips

Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience
