About the Job
As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing vehicles. You will work closely with experienced technicians, learning the ins and outs of automotive systems and components. Your responsibilities will include:
- Confirming findings with your supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
- Discussing work with your supervisor to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Conducting road tests on motor vehicles to assess performance.
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services and advising customers on work performed.
- Completing reports to record problems and work performed.
