Key Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications and read blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
• Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and various metal shaping machines.
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
• Determine the weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. Candidates should be prepared for a dusty, noisy, and sometimes dirty environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Experience: Previous experience is an asset.
