About the Job

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your creativity will shine as you help plan menus and coordinate special events, all while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate special events and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Determine the size of food portions and costs, and plan menus while estimating food requirements.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods on a regular basis or for special guests.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• Organize buffets and banquets, and clean kitchen and work areas.

Requirements

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Food preparation/professional cooking/kitchen assistant or equivalent experience.
