This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work 40 to 50 hours per week, contributing to the construction of high-quality prefabricated housing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Modular Housing Fabricator, you will:

• Make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products.
• Assemble door panels, trusses, or modular components to create prefabricated housing.
• Install hardware such as knobs and hinges.
• Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards.
• Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Familiarity with the following tools is essential:

• Power tools

• Nail guns
