About the Job
This is a permanent position with a full-time commitment of 40 to 45 hours per week. As an Automotive Body Technician, you'll play a crucial role in inspecting and repairing vehicles, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Your Responsibilities
- Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure quality workmanship.
- Plan and execute repair work with precision.
- Provide exemplary customer service, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Test drive vehicles for proper handling and performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Replace front end components, body components, doors, frames, and underbody components.
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces to prepare for repairs.
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, bolting or welding replacement parts into place.
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces to restore vehicle aesthetics.
- Repair or replace interior components as needed.
- Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
- Mix paint to blend and match colors accurately.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler for repairs.
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in body components, doors, frame, and metal cutting.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Criminal record check is mandatory.
