Job Details:
- Update and maintain ignitestudentlife.com using WordPress and other tools.
- Create and publish content such as events, pages, and banners.
- Perform accessibility checks (AODA, WCAG) and basic quality assurance testing.
- Assist with troubleshooting website and integration issues (collecting logs, testing, verifying fixes)
- Support testing of backend and frontend features before deployment.
- Navigate cloud and hosting tools such as WP Engine and Microsoft Azure for housing IGNITE's digital solutions (considered assets)
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in digital workflows and propose practical solutions.
- Support documentation of technical processes, integrations, or updates.
- Collaborate with developers on UX/UI improvements and new features.
- Assist with research into tools, automations, or technologies that could benefit IGNITE.
- Work closely with Data Analytics & Digital Transformation and other internal teams.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
- Clearly communicate findings, issues, and recommendations.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in technology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly and independently.
- Knowledge of hosting/cloud platforms (We use WP Engine and Microsoft Azure).
- Knowledge of programming constructs.
- Understanding of security basics (SSL, firewalls, updates).
- Familiarity with Figma or UX/UI tools.
