Position Summary
The Program Manager, Pharmacy is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Pharmacy, including Human Resources, program management and development, financial accountability and quality and innovation. They participate in and/or lead program, departmental and organizational initiatives, committees and/or functions – and works with Mount Carmel Clinic (MCC) management to align programs and services with client needs, integrate services within and outside MCC and encourage teamwork and collaboration across all MCC departments.
The Pharmacist provides health education and care within their scope of practice for clients of Mount Carmel Clinic. As a member of a client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Pharmacist provides care to individuals promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability and the management of chronic diseases/conditions. The incumbent works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals. The Pharmacist holds ultimate responsibility for the actions of the Pharmacy. Qualifications Education

- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered and Licensed as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
- Minimum of two (2) years of management experience, including human resources management
- Minimum three (3) years direct service in a high volume pharmacy with good knowledge of pharmacy software programs
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working effectively in a related service/program and similar population
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic financial management and program management, evaluation and development
- Able to effectively provide supervision and direction to Pharmacy Assistants in accordance with pharmacy operational requirements
- Ability to exercise human resources authority in the recruitment, hiring and management, discipline and termination of staff in accordance with MCC’s human resources policies

- Project management skills and experience
- Management education or training, including human resources management
- Experience in preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures and preparing financial reports in accordance with the requirements of specific funders
- Experience in grant writing and preparation of funding applications
