Inline Group Inc. has opportunities available for Survey Students starting Spring 2026. You’ll support surveying and quality assurance activities in the field across a variety of industrial and civil projects throughout Canada.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Field Surveying – Support surveyors with precision layout and data collection on industrial and civil projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all field activities.
- Quality Assurance – Participate in field quality control and verification, recording and maintaining accurate daily field notes and data logs.
- Safety Leadership – Actively engage in Inline’s corporate and client HSE programs, promoting safe work practices and contributing to a culture of safety excellence.
- Technical Support – Troubleshoot and maintain survey equipment and vehicles, ensuring readiness for field operations.
- Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and drafting teams to support project execution and maintain strong client relationships.
- Documentation & Reporting – Refer to construction drawings and specifications, and report non-conformance issues to management as required.
- Continuous Learning – Take initiative to learn new technologies, methods, and workflows that enhance your professional development in the surveying field.
What We’re Looking For
- Education – Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology or Geomatics program.
- Safety Certifications – CSTS 2020, CSO, and WHMIS 2015 (Inline can assist in obtaining certifications).
- Technical Skills – Basic understanding of survey principles, equipment use, and field data collection
- Communication & Teamwork – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to take instruction and work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail – Organized, precise, and able to complete tasks accurately under tight timelines.
- Physical Readiness – Able to lift up to 50 lbs and enjoy working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Driver’s License – Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Willingness to Travel – Availability to travel to project sites across Canada for either local or FIFO assignments.
Work Options
- Local Opportunities – Work on projects near major hubs and get to be home every night.
- Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) Opportunities – Remote project rotations across Canada with flights, accommodations, and meals provided. Typical rotations include 14 days on / 14 days off or 14 days on / 7 days off, depending on the site.
