We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team in Saskatoon, Canada. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our guests and staff.
- Clean and maintain assigned areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas
- Make beds, change linens, and restock amenities in guest rooms
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in various areas of the facility
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Empty trash bins, dispose of waste, and manage recycling
- Organize and maintain cleaning supply closets and housekeeping carts
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all areas
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested
- Receive linen orders and organize linen on housekeeping area
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, Camp Attendant, Janitor, or Chambermaid in a commercial setting could be an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Good attendance record and reliability
- Ability to follow established cleaning techniques and learn new procedures quickly
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
