Join our team as a Conference Centre Concierge in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada! We are seeking a friendly and professional individual to provide exceptional customer service to our conference centre guests. As the first point of contact for visitors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Greet and welcome guests, providing a warm and professional first impression
- Assist with guest inquiries.
- Manage conference room schedules and coordinate with event organizers
- Provide directions and guidance within the conference centre
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth event operations, including security
- Assist with coat check, luggage, and equipment handling when necessary
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby area
- Stay updated on current and upcoming events to provide accurate information to guests
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including scheduling software and email
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles
- Experience in a conference centre or hotel setting (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hospitality or tourism-related certification (preferred)
- Understanding of conference and event management processes
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally assist with light lifting
- Flexibility to work various shifts
