The Category Associate will provide administrative support to the Grocery Products team in Canada by combining purchasing assistance with data entry and coordination responsibilities. Reporting to the Head of Product – Grocery, this full-time position plays a key role in maintaining accurate product data, supporting vendor communication, and ensuring efficient product flow and operational processes across multiple Eataly Canada locations.

• Updates and maintains grocery catalog information, including but not limited to promotion discounts, stock status, and product information in ERP systems (e.g., D365, Adaco, Catapult, WMS)
• Assists in setting up promotions and product pricing in system
• Conducts market research and price checks of competing retailers, including trend research to support category decisions
• Collects invoices and coordinates with Finance, resolving any discrepancies with warehouse or receiving teams
• Assists with creating new product information and completing item setup requests; organizes product samples
• Supports the team with grocery stock management, including updating and placing orders, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with local vendors and Logistics
• Prepares basic sales and performance reports to support team decision-making
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, data management, or a related field; coursework in merchandising is considered an asset
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office programs
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365, Adaco, Catapult, WMS) is considered an asset
• Team player with strong communication and time management skills, able to create and maintain relationships across the organization
• Resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Passionate about Italian food and grocery products
