WHAT'S THE JOB?

  • Responsible for smooth kitchen operation
  • Help set the standards of operation and culture
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of flavour, presentation, and execution.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure accuracy and minimise waste. Uphold strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all kitchen practices. Collaborate with front-ofhouse leadership to maintain seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff, ensuring a high-performing team environment.
  • Experience with high end Institutional Catering is required
  • Address operational challenges proactively, ensuring smooth and effective kitchen operations.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Certification of culinary training, a degree in Culinary Arts or apprenticeship, Red Seal and journeyman certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an executive role in an upscale Catering Operation or fine dining kitchen.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Proven ability to manage costs, inventory, and kitchen budgets
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must have Class 5 Driver's License
