MISSION

The Manager, Loss Prevention Analytics & Insights is accountable for the review and delivery of data analysis and reporting related to inventory shrink and security. They are responsible for leading a team of analysts to identify trends, risks and areas of opportunity to reduce theft, fraud and operational inefficiencies. They will be a partner to a broad array of stakeholders across the organization to provide actionable insights and critical information to inform day-to-day activities that support the company's Loss Prevention mission.

  • Accurate reporting and forecasting of inventory shrink
  • Meeting or exceeding shrink performance budgets
  • Accurate and timely reporting of department expenses
  • Adherence to Loss Prevention department budgets

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Functional

  • Responsible for coordinating inventory count process in collaboration with Retail teams
  • Manages data systems, conducts risk assessments, prepares reports, and drives initiatives to improve overall shrinkage performance
  • Leads analysis and insights reporting on loss prevention data to identify key trends and risk areas on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis to drive data driven decision-making throughout the organization
  • Lead data analysis and visualization efforts by preparing and presenting reports for senior leaders on performance metrics as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support the development and implementation of loss prevention initiatives
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and recommendations for shrink and security incidents
  • Manages the budget process for loss prevention expenses throughout the company
  • Partners with Finance to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Lead and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness in partnership with IT and cross functional partners
  • Works with external vendors to ensure Retail and Operational Teams have access to LP systems, product protection and other support requirements
  • Liaises with external and internal auditors as required
  • Stays current in functional expertise within the industry
  • Understands the impact to Indigo of changing external environmental factors (competitive, regulatory, technical)

Qualifications

Education / Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree

Competencies / Skills / Attributes

  • 3+ years in a managerial/supervisory role
  • 3+ years' experience managing an analytics function
  • Experience working in the Retail Industry is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention is an asset
  • Practical experience working with SAP ERP, BW and EWM
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in drawing actionable insights from data
