We are seeking a skilled and efficient Line Cook to join our culinary team in Waterville, Canada. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Adhere to all food industry regulations and guidelines
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and ovens
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous fast-paced line cook experience required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Manual dexterity to use knives and kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with kitchen staff
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
