  • Data Collection, Management & Integration – Collect and manage healthcare data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and transforming raw data into structured, accurate formats for analysis.
  • Data Analysis & Insights Generation -- Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that improve patient care and drive operational efficiency.
  • Predictive Analytics & Decision Support: Develop predictive models to forecast patient needs, healthcare utilization patterns, or risk stratification. Support decision-making by leveraging data to predict patient trends, optimize scheduling, allocate resources effectively, and provide real-time actionable insights and optimization strategies.
  • Data Reporting & Communication: Create automated reports and dashboards to provide ongoing visibility to performance metrics, quality outcomes, and clinical KPIs. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies, payers, and external partners, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations, as well as data-sharing requirements.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including PHIPA, PIPEDA, Law 25. Implement and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring proper access control, security, and compliance and develop policies for data accuracy, audit trails, and governance.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and provide data-driven recommendations. Collaborate on quality improvement projects and contribute to training and education of team members helping them better understand the significance of data analysis and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Performance Metrics & Benchmarking: Develop and track performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of healthcare programs, patient care delivery, and operational efficiencies. Conduct benchmarking studies to compare internal performance against industry standards, best practices, or competitor organizations, highlighting areas for improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree in Healthcare Analytics, Public Health, or Data Science is preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on healthcare data or healthcare-related sectors
  • Proven experience with healthcare-specific data sources and systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Experience in data integration from multiple healthcare platforms and external data sources (e.g., public health databases, government reports).
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or Excel for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar, for creating interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applied to healthcare data.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure for storing and processing large healthcare datasets.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modeling techniques to organize and maintain large datasets efficiently.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics methods is a plus, particularly in healthcare forecasting and risk stratification.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., PHIPA, PIPEDA) and experience implementing data security best practices in alignment with industry standards such as ITIL and ISO.
