You will report to the Senior Director, Total Compensation, and work closely with the payroll department, the talent acquisition team, and business partners. As the Manager, Benefits, you will be responsible for overseeing employee benefits for our various employee groups. In this role, you will lead a team of 6 people, which includes the benefits administration team within the employee service center as well as the Disability Management Advisor.
Challenges Awaiting You:
- Supervise the team's activities to provide a top-tier client experience for employees, managers, and our store banners;
- Ensure the efficient administration of benefits programs while optimizing processes;
- Act as the go-to advisor for all matters related to employee benefits (group insurance, retirement plans, and disability);
- Manage annual processes such as the renewal of group insurance programs and yearly enrollment;
- Serve as the daily contact for various service providers and optimize partnerships with them;
- Ensure optimal disability management by supporting the Disability Management Advisor, emphasizing prevention;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of employee benefits policies and programs; and
- Support the internal promotion of our programs through various communications and informational sessions.
Qualifications
Your Contribution to the Team:
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in benefits management and at least 3 years of team management experience, along with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Actuarial Science, or another relevant field. You are also recognized for:
- Your ability to synthesize ideas and communicate them effectively in both French and English;
- Your organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks while remaining productive and efficient in a dynamic environment;
- Your positive and authentic leadership;
- Your excellent customer service mindset, analytical skills, and ability to propose creative solutions;
- Your solid knowledge of laws and standards related to employee benefits (experience with payroll is an asset), including disability management; and
- Your familiarity with HR systems (experience with Workday is an asset).
