- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Deliver direct therapy to enhance speech production, language comprehension and expression, articulation, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing function.
- Utilize a range of interventions, including oral motor therapy, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation
- Support patients, caregivers, and families with education, coaching, and home carryover strategies to maximize treatment effectiveness
- Assist patients with equipment and device recommendations (e.g., AAC tools, assistive technologies)
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries).
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive holistic support
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (community or clinical experience an asset)
- Experience with a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques
- Strong skills in developing, delivering, and adjusting therapy plans based on patient progress
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
