As a Product Planner you will:

  • Manage the forecasting and analyze trend reports of assigned product categories, including reviewing historical sales, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, and developing statistical forecasting models
  • Identify any potential risks to the overall product supply chain and develop contingency plans while initiate & lead supply prioritization/de-risk discussions
  • Conduct ongoing inventory cycle counts to determine where to allocate shipments based on the current stock level and optimize warehouse inventory for order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage inventory, optimize sales and costs, provide replenishment information based on consumer trends and product categories.
  • Act as the primary contact between S&S and vendors to ensure effective relationships and that materials and products are completed according to agreed timelines and meet replenishment needs
  • Source and arrange FCLs and FTLs to facilitate the prompt delivery of goods
  • Ensure action plans are adhered to in order to meet defined forecasting objectives
  • Provide and implement solutions to improve demand forecast insight accuracy by investigating root cause of error, develop and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement and improve business decisions which in turn drive program enhancements and the development of new and innovative processes
  • Ensure completion of Monthly KPI's to track forecast bias, lost sales and forecast accuracy, while communicating estimations to upper management

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

  • Bachelor or university degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Demand Planning / Demand forecasting in a retail environment
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (V-look-up, Pivot tables, etc.)
  • Be familiar with Power BI
  • Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to make decision based on data
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
