JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Logistics at the Sawmills Division Head Office, this role will be responsible for coordinating the transportation and movement of products across the company's sawmill operations. This role works closely with internal departments, carriers, customers, and suppliers to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily transportation activities to ensure the timely movement of products to customers and distribution locations
- Schedule and communicate shipments with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively addressing any transportation issues or delays
- Identify and select cost-effective transportation solutions while maintaining service expectations
- Maintain transportation records and ensure accurate data entry within company systems
- Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings
- Assist with carrier relationship management and transportation planning activities
- Support inventory, shipping, and logistics reporting requirements
- Help develop contingency plans to minimize transportation disruptions
- Perform any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education - College Diploma or Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- 2-5 years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or coordination experience is considered an asset but is not required
- Demonstrates high standards of customer service
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Must be team-oriented and an independent self-starter
- Detail oriented and well organized
