JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Reliability Specialist, you will work with cross functional teams to ensure uptime and reliability of mill equipment, provide technical support to mill Maintenance teams and represent the mill on capital projects as an integral part of Reliability and Maintenance teams. You will be involved in maintenance strategy development for individual assets, and preventative maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate safety leadership ensure all mill safety policies are complied with at all times
- Root Cause Analysis on failures
- Mean Time Between Failure tracking and improvement
- Represent mill Reliability and Maintenance on capital projects
- Preventative Maintenance System Management including PM development, creation, updates and improvements
- Manage maintenance projects during major mill shutdowns
- Entity system management, including administering and managing mill entity structure and creating and disposing of entities as required
- Bill Of Material Management and ensuring appropriate levels of inventory are stocked
- Budgeting and cost control including developing and submitting annual maintenance budgets for large maintenance projects
- Review and monitor project maintenance costs on a weekly and period basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education required: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Years of Experience: 5+ years' experience in a Reliability or relevant Maintenance position
- Previous kraft pulp mill and Recaust plant experience considered an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities
- High energy level with thorough attention to detail
