JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a visual storyteller with a passion for creating compelling content that inspires, informs, and connects? Irving Shipbuilding is seeking a Communication Specialist - Video & Content to help us share the powerful stories behind Canada's National Shipbuilder.
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our communications team, producing high-impact video and digital content that showcases our people, projects, and purpose. From internal campaigns to national initiatives, your work will help shape how we engage with employees, stakeholders, and the public.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create compelling content that highlights Irving Shipbuilding's mission, values, and impact-from internal announcements to promotional videos and social media campaigns.
  • Lead video production from concept to completion, including scripting, filming, editing, and delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments to support internal initiatives and bring their stories to life.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual and written content, aligning with strategic messaging and tone.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree or diploma in Video Production, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in filming and editing for digital platforms (social, web, internal).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Bonus points for skills in photography, graphic design (Canva, InDesign), and multi-project management.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to turn complex ideas into engaging visual stories.
