JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Project Manager at Fleetway, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of shipbuilding, repair, and refit projects. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects-ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes estimating, overseeing day-to-day activities, and maintaining project documentation.
You'll work closely with Fleetway's Program Managers and Delivery teams to drive execution and ensure alignment between engineering intent and project outcomes. Projects may involve technical complexity in the marine domain, and you'll be supported by technical leads and oversight to help navigate engineering requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing technical projects from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and report on project performance, escalating issues when needed
  • Identify and manage risks to minimize project impact
  • Maintain clear and thorough project documentation
  • Lead the full lifecycle of assigned projects: estimating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing
  • Ensure project tasks are appropriately resourced and supported
  • Adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, and budget with proactive planning
  • Use tools and systems to track and measure project performance

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in shipbuilding, repair, or refit projects
  • A technical diploma or degree in engineering or engineering technology - with preference given to candidates with education in Naval Architecture or Marine Systems Engineering.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and translate engineering requirements into actionable plans

You Might Also Bring
These aren't required, but they'll help you hit the ground running:

  • Experience using MS Excel, Microsoft Project, and/or Trello
  • PMP certification
  • Naval or marine industry experience
