JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Electrical Engineer is critical to the design, integration, and delivery of electrical systems for complex marine vessels. You will play a key role in supporting shipbuilding projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for naval and commercial vessels.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, structural, and systems engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with classification society rules, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical oversight during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, and Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or marine systems.
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, power distribution, automation, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
