JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring for an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson at Irving Paper in Saint John, reporting to the E&I Team Leader within the Maintenance Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson you will perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the Paper Mill. You will perform the required troubleshooting, programming and research to maintain and improve existing distributed controls, programmable controls, mill process controls and electrical distribution systems. You will assist in continuous improvement through instrument tuning and system program changes. On call coverage and shift work may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Instrumentation Journeyman License, or an Industrial Controls Technology Diploma
• Industrial experience in a similar industry would be considered an asset
• Possess knowledge of Plant Instrumentation and Electrical systems, Honeywell Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controls, Variable Speed Drives (stand alone and coordinated paper machine applications)
• Possess working knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers and system protection as well as computer experience
• Problem Solving ability
• Self-motivated and have a strong personal drive
• Team player with interpersonal skills
• Electrical aptitude
