JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
Salaried and Hourly Recruitment
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate management, skills assessments, and interviews
- Attract, source, and select top talent for various roles through innovative strategies such as social media advertising, local community marketing, and strategic partnerships
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment marketing plans, leveraging social and digital media to source qualified candidates
- Schedule interviews and testing, maintain applicant records, and ensure the applicant tracking system is consistently updated
- Establish and maintain a network of contacts to ensure a continuous pipeline of talent
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to assess candidate suitability and make informed hiring recommendations
- Work with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment with hiring forecasts and organizational needs
- Organize and support career awareness events, including student co-op recruiting, career fairs, and partnerships with post-secondary institutions
- Plan and execute large-scale hiring events to enhance brand visibility and market opportunities
- Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the recruitment function and organizational goals
Student Recruitment
- Work with post-secondary institutions to recruit for co-op, summer, and intern roles
- Develop and implement a comprehensive student onboarding plan and check-in process to monitor progress
- Work with managers and HR to assess students for potential conversion opportunities
Immigration Recruitment
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit international candidates
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with immigration provincial and federal laws and regulations
- Assist international candidates with visa and work permit applications and processes
- Provide support, guidance, and resources to help international hires and employees on work permits with their PR support as applicable by collaborating with the JDI
- Immigration Center of Excellence for up-to-date information about provincial and federal immigration policies and updates
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in business improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize recruitment processes
- Compile and analyze recruitment data, identify emerging trends, and prepare reports as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent)
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation (or willingness to obtain) would be an asset
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years recruiting management experience in a high-volume, environment or similar experience managing complex projects/work environments with a diverse employee population
- Demonstrated ability within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC)
- Customer focused individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Ability to travel occasionally
