JOB DESCRIPTION
JDI IT is seeking a Director, Business Solutions to spearhead digital transformation initiatives within our Cavendish division.
This leadership role is accountable for guiding the division's information technology (IT) strategy and systems, with a strong focus on enterprise-wide alignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing IT strategies, ensuring technology initiatives support J.D. Irving's broader objectives, and overseeing the management of IT operations and key projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Supply chain and serve as a bridge between the IT department and the rest of the organization, helping to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Experience within the agricultural industry would be an asset.
Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, we have 5 plants located throughout North America.
Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 8 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants, corn, soybean, grass seed and technical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create a digital transformation roadmap for the organization and ensure its integration and alignment with the organization's strategic goals and objectives
• Ensuring divisional IT risks are being properly managed
• Leading and managing IT teams, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff
• Building high performing teams, growing talent at all levels, executing succession planning
• Management of IT systems and assets, infrastructure, and operations to ensure efficiency, reliability and optimization
• Management of IT services for the Division through a centralized IT shared services model
• Communicating and educating the value of IT initiatives and achievements to the division's leadership and stakeholders
• Accountable for technology projects and ensuring scope is delivered on time and within budget
• Ensuring security and privacy through the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with relevant regulations. Govern and communicate risk associated with Business Continuity and Operational Technology
• Evaluating and recommending new technologies that can improve the organization's operations and competitiveness
• Collaborating with other business leaders to align technology initiatives with the division's strategic plans
• Managing IT budgets and resources effectively to maximize the return on investment
• Ensuring Business Architecture standards are being applied

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of IT experience
• 5+ years of industry experience (Supply Chain/ Agriculture)
• Undergraduate University degree
• Masters Degree is preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
• Business Relationship Management Professional
• PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner
• Project Management Professional (recommended)
