Job Description:
Post-Secondary Education required and must be returning to studies or beginning studies in 2024/2025. This summer employment may be of interest to students studying in tourism related courses, business programs, or marketing studies. The successful student would act as an Ambassador for Spinnakers' Landing and be a leader and role model by being a voice and face for our organization through interactions with tourists, tenants, staff, and the business community.

- self-directed starter and resourceful, highly organized with attention to detail,
- well-developed computer skills with knowledge of social media and how to use it as a promotional tool,
- ability to work with all stakeholders involved in our tourism operation at Spinnakers' Landing as well as tenants in our commercial operations, visitors, and community organizations,
- have a desire and drive to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the job more effectively,
- willingness and ability to adapt behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles,

JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain day-to-day media engagement, content and conversation across various media outlets including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,
- Establish ways to assess, measure, and report on social media and virtual efforts, and recommend ways to improve social media marketing strategy for optimal results,
- Work independently to maximize sponsorships through written correspondence and direct contact with organizations and business community minded leaders,
- Plan, recommend, and implement promotions and events designed to increase traffic to the Landing, increased sales for shop owners, and provide positive publicity for Spinnakers' Landing,
- Planning, organizing entertainment on the Landing stage including music, buskers, non-profit groups,
- Assist in setting up areas as required for events, entertainment, or other usage.
- Performing a variety of tasks with an eagerness to learn and participate in seasonal maintenance projects.
Other duties required on a daily and weekly basis are custodial in nature, such as some cleaning, waste management, power washing of buildings, some lawn maintenance, and moving of supplies and/or furniture,
