Job Description:

The Breakwater Bar and Grill is currently looking to add full time and part time servers and bartenders to our team! The role includes but is not limited to food and drink service in our full-service restaurant which includes a 90-seat dining room and in the summer two main level decks and a roof top patio. There are also events and banquets throughout the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

• High quality customer service
• Greet all guests upon arrival at the facility,
• Taking food and drink orders and table service,
• Answer questions about the food and drink menu,
• Operate Point of Sale system and take payments,
• Communicate with multiple departments (bar, kitchen, maintenance),
• Set up and strike meetings, banquets and events,
• General cleaning and maintenance of dining room throughout the shift,
• Handle pay out of VLT winnings,
• Should be available for day, evening and weekend shifts

Qualifications / Skills

• Previous experience as a server or bartender is an important asset.
• Customer service or sales experience an asset.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and carrying food and supplies up stairs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Possession of a valid first aid certificate is an asset
• Bilingualism is an asset.
• Must posses a valid Responsible Beverage Certificate or be willing to complete program before start date.
