The Alzheimer Society of PEI (ASPEI) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of Islanders affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Our mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and to promote research for a cause and a cure.
The Society offers programs and services to support persons with dementia, caregivers, and other family members and friends so they have the help they need today and have hope for the future. We work in collaboration with other health and community support providers to ensure quality across the system of care for all affected.
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a versatile Program Implementation Specialist to support the launch and continuous improvement of our health initiatives, in particular working with a program around behaviour support and dementia. Working closely with our program team and clients, you will build operational procedures, author health education materials and program content, finalize an evaluation framework, and assist in program evaluation and reporting.
This role offers a flexible engagement structure suited for a mid-level independent practitioner, consultant, or professional seeking a flexible schedule who thrives in building structured processes within a mission-driven environment. Options: Candidate can be hired as a part-time temporary staff or on a fixed term contract/consulting role as preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Advance the vision, mission, and values of ASPEI
- Participate in operational planning
- Assist in Society events as needed
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Operational Process & Workflow Development:
- Draft standardized processes, workflows, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for program delivery.
- Consult and coordinate with program staff and clients to ensure efficient execution across touchpoints and accurate data tracking.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and adjust operational steps as the initiative scales.
- Support change management through communications, education, and mentoring of staff in new processes
Content Development & Communications
- Translate complex health information and program guidelines into clear, accessible toolkits, guidebooks, and outreach content.
- Draft training materials, onboarding documents, and operational guides for staff and facilitators.
- Prepare progress summaries, stakeholder updates, and funder report components.
Program Evaluation & Impact Assessment:
- Develop and implement program evaluation frameworks, survey tools, and feedback collection methods (qualitative and quantitative).
- Collect, track, and summarize participant outcomes, health metrics, and engagement data.
- Draft evaluation summaries to demonstrate impact to internal stakeholders, board members, and funder. Assist in final program reporting.
General Program Implementation:
- Support other program implementation activities as needed and aligned with skillset and experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in health administration, public health, social sciences, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, or a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
- 3–5 years of mid-level experience in health program coordination/management, community/public health administration, healthcare operations, or non-profit project execution.
- Process Design: Proven ability to create clear SOPs, client pathways, and administrative protocols.
- Health Communication: Strong written communication skills with experience producing accessible, plain-language health or educational content.
- Evaluation Skills: Familiarity with basic program evaluation methods, survey administration, data analysis and summarization.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating evolving project timelines, managing priorities independently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of dementia care and behavioural support approaches is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS, SALARY AND BENEFITS COMPENSATION
- Job Type – Variable/Negotiable – 20-40 hrs per week Oct 2026- end Feb 2027
- Working hours: Flexible options available – office hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Occasional evening and weekend required.

- Head office: 166 Fitzroy St, Charlottetown (Some work from home flexibility is possible)
- Travel requirements – This position will involve occasional travel across PEI.
- Salary: Based on qualifications and experience – $32.00-$38.00 per hour.
