Job Description:

Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer – Rural Municipality of Crapaud.

Office duties – Greeting public, Answer telephones, Prepare correspondence, Receive utility payments, Accounts payable and receivable, Assist with the establishment of a new records management system, Filing, Digitize records, Updating website and social media, Plan, promote, implement, and evaluate events (Canada Day, Seniors programming, etc), Manage the Community Hall (scheduling events, receiving payments and issuing receipts, etc). Assist the CAO as required – shopping, changing signs, researching purchases, applying for grants.

The duties are varied -and the opportunity exists to learn a variety of tasks and improve skill set.

Qualifications:

– Sage 50 (desired)
– Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Highly organized and capable of independent work
– Ability to act with diplomacy and tact in stressful situations
