We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Camp Supervisor for teens in the Old North End of Saint John. This role involves working with youth aged 6-12 in our Summer Camp program, as well as engaging with teens during evening drop-ins. As a Camp Supervisor, you will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging programming for teens, supervising camp staff and attendees, and creating a welcoming space for youth in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver programming suitable for teens
  • Assist day camp supervisor(s) in planning and delivery of programming for summer camp attendees
  • Supervise summer camp staff, attendees, and drop-in teens outside of camp activities
  • Provide activities for the playground to engage youth in the community
  • Plan and supervise educational and recreational activities outside the Centre
  • Create a welcoming engaging space for teen evening drop-ins
  • General clean-up after programming
  • Event planning and participation, including our street party day
  • Supervision of youth in the Centre
  • Supervision of camp counselors with teens
  • Coordination of breaks and coverage when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
