About the Job:

As a Marina Attendant, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Recreation and Parks. Your main responsibilities will include pumping fuel for boaters, renting water equipment to visitors, tourists, and selling souvenirs and concessions at the marina building. You will also be in charge of cleaning public washrooms, the marina building, and waterfront area, as well as mowing grass and weeding flowers. Answering inquiries from tourists through phone calls and in person will be a daily task. Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting Destination Nackawic and the amenities of the community and surrounding areas. Throughout the summer, you will also assist with special events on the waterfront.

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
