We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Head Camp Counsellor at the Town of Salisbury. In collaboration with the Salisbury Recreation & Wellness Dept, you will be responsible for planning and organizing summer day camps for residents of Salisbury. This includes both paid and free camps for students.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of four camp counsellors
  • Primary liaison with the Recreation & Wellness Dept
  • Planning and organizing visits, materials, and supplies for different weeks of camp
  • Supervision of children during free camp weeks with Salisbury-specific programming
  • Assisting with planning, organizing, and logistics
  • Accompanying campers on day excursions during paid camp weeks

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
