We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Labourer to join our team at the Saint John Exhibition Association. As a Maintenance/Labourer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including basic grounds care, lawn mowing, planting and maintaining flower & vegetable gardens, painting, general outdoor improvements, construction, and brainstorming within group sessions while designing booths and displays. You will also be involved in repairs, cleaning, and minor renovations of interior buildings and barns.

You will have the opportunity to problem solve and offer creative ideas in the construction of various booths and props to accommodate new attractions. During our Fair, you will provide friendly and effective customer service to ensure patrons' needs are met. Additionally, during community functions, you will interact with seniors to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to represent our organization in a positive manner.

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
