About the Job:

As an Assistant-Coordinator for Pride Fest 2024 at River of Pride, you will work closely with our dedicated board of directors to organize and coordinate a series of exciting events from August 16th to September 1st, 2024. You will have the flexibility to work remotely and create your own schedule, but must be available in the Moncton area during pride fest. Your responsibilities will include co-coordinating and assisting in organizing various events such as the Pride Parade, Pride Park Fair, sports and wellness events, family and youth events, Flag Raising, Pride Concert, drag shows, arts and culture events, and education-focused events. You will also be in charge of communicating with our community partners and prioritized groups to ensure their inclusion in the preparations. Additionally, you will assist in implementing the communications plan in both official languages and perform other related office duties.

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
