Description:
The Mountain Bike Instructors are the on-hill Mountain Bike ambassadors for Panorama Mountain Resort. They have a passion for biking which is infectious to those taking advantage of the service. They will instruct guests from ages 6 years and up and of all ability levels on the proper techniques of downhill mountain biking as well as instruction on safety techniques.
Essential Functions:
- Meet guests at the determined location.
- Ensure the guest has the proper equipment and bike for the lesson, and ticket for lift access.
- Gauge and assess all guests riding ability and ensure they are in the appropriate level lesson.
- Instruct guests in the proper techniques of mountain biking in a group or private environment.
- Ensure all safety requirements are met.
- Assist Mountain Outfitters if no lessons are booked.
- Must be animated and personable.
- Assist lift attendants with the loading and unloading of Mountain bikes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum level 1 Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA), or equivalent.
- Intermediate to Advanced Downhill Mountain Bike Ability.
- Physically fit.
- Experience coaching children and adults from ages 6 years and up.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Pay Type Hourly
