Lizard Creek Lodge is looking to fill the position of Guest Services Attendant, serving Lizard Creek Lodge at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the ideal candidate will have both professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, be an excellent communicator and have a thorough understanding of smart guest relations. You Will:
  • Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
  • Complete hotel reservations, maintaining hotel booking and cancellation policies
  • Complete guest check-in & check-out process
  • Answer phones and transfer calls
  • Assist guests in a polite and timely manner regarding all hotel and resort services
  • Complete payment transactions, balance end-of-day systems
  • Compile and check daily record sheets and guest accounts
  • Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department - check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms
  • Be responsible for mail and message coordination, postage, shipping and receiving
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • Perform miscellaneous other tasks as requested by management

You Have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of handling cash/payment transactions
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
