SALARY: FROM $49,456 TO $87,626 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board serving educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Adult Education and Vocational Training, the Education consultant in

general education sees to the organization of general training activities in the various centres of Nunavik

and ensures the progression of the different files assigned to him/her.

FUNCTION & DUTIES:

• Provide pedagogical support to teachers on language programs and optional courses;

• Provide teachers with some help regarding course management, teaching strategies, evaluation tools

and techniques, students' training profiles;

• Create or obtain the required material;

• Visiting the various centres on a regular basis is also part of the educational counsellor's tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

First level university diploma completed in a specialized field that is appropriate for the employment.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the aforementioned qualifications if it finds a suitable

candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts,

as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Five years' relevant experience;

• Good command of both French and English;

• Skills in communication and facilitation in French and English, essential;

• Knowledge of MELS' programs and approach in relation to the general education programs;

• Experience in the Far North, an asset.

SALARY / BENEFITS:

In accordance with the SPPENOM collective agreement for professionals. This position belongs to job category

2104: from $49,456 to $87,626 annually depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated

based on the percentage of the task.
