Blackbird Security Inc. is currently hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Vancouver, BC headquarters team. Our dynamic and diverse head office team is continually growing, and we are excited to welcome a motivated and energetic Human Resources Specialist to contribute to our vibrant workplace. The HRBP will report to the National Human Resources Manager and will work closely with our board of directors and senior management team across the country. The schedule is fully in-office, Monday to Friday. As the HRBP at Blackbird Security, you will be a key player in ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures and in providing guidance, support and advice to managers within the business on how to handle HR-related issues in alignment with company policy and long-term strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Champion the development and implementing of HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and legal regulations. Conduct management onboarding and HR department training programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and promoted management. Perform regular audits to ensure regulatory compliance in business practices. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters. Be the main point of contact for employees with HR inquiries. Provide guidance and support to members of the HR team. Participate in investigations regarding employee complaints, employment/labour standards cases, and internal compliance audits. Work with leaders within the organization to assist/guide them performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans. Work with managers across the business to identify top performers and to build a talent pipeline. Collaborate with leadership to identify training and development needs for employees. Champion efforts to make a positive impact on the company's culture through engagement activities, outreach programs, and management training/advising. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to ensure the organization remains competitive. Contribute to the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Analyze and report on HR metrics. Lead and/or take meeting minutes for various weekly/bi-weekly/monthly management meetings. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an HRBP, HR Specialist or similar HR role. In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations. Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
