Volunteer Opportunity Details
Volunteer Opportunity ID: 4681
Description of Duties:
Variety, the Children's Charity of Manitoba assists children living with a permanent disability by providing them with life-changing equipment and services to ensure all children have the same opportunity to grow and learn.
The assistance we provide relieves the significant financial burden our Variety families face, because it costs them 4 to 5 times more to raise their child than a child who is able-bodied.
We hold a few events a year and lots of businesses donate items/auction packages that need to be picked up.
We also offer delivery of the auction items to the purchasers after the events wrap up.
Variety is looking for volunteers who have a vehicle and are willing to pick up or drop off these items at different points throughout the year.
This will help Variety keep our costs low because we don't need to use a delivery service items or have them shipped to our offices.
