Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager in our Barrie, ON office. The successful candidate will provide Environmental Investigation, Remediation, and Risk Assessment support for EXP throughout the Simcoe area.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

1. Provide leadership, training, and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment, as applicable, within the framework of Ontario Regulation 153/04
2. Manage the technical, schedule, and budgetary elements of projects and provide day-to-day project management and compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory standards
3. Serve as a resource in your field(s) of expertise
4. Analyze and prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
5. Gain and share knowledge through participation in technical societies and/or attendance at internal and external programs to a degree consistent with individual and business sector goals
6. Engage with other senior members within the firm to advance our brand and standing with clients

What your experience looks like

• Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (asset)
• Over 10 years of experience in the environmental field in Ontario
• Preference will be given to those with consulting experience
• University degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of provincial (Ontario Regulation 153/04, Ontario Regulation 406/19, Ontario Regulation 407/19) and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated sites assessments
• Experience in contaminated sites investigations (Phase I/One and II/Two ESAs) is a requirement
• Experience in remediation and risk assessment (with a focus on Risk Management Plans) is preferred
• A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical writing ability
