Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth and the Prince George team are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced GIS Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our GIS operations, including data collection, analysis, mapping, and spatial database management. The GIS Coordinator will work closely with various departments to provide spatial data solutions that support decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.

A Day in the Life

The GIS Coordinator provides support in the creation and maintenance of project specific web maps, applications, and hardcopy map production. In this role, you will generate and lead development of integrated geographical information system data base of spatial and non-spatial data, create analyses and presentation of this data while applying knowledge of geographic information systems. You will meet with users to develop system or project requirements for specific problems to be solved, such as development of planning and modeling, marketing and demographic mapping, or assessment of geologic and environmental factors.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or post Bachelor's advanced diploma in GIS from a recognized post-secondary technical institution, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years industry experience, focused on GIS and software applications
  • Knowledge and experience working with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Workforce, ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123
  • Ability to process survey data including drone Pix4D and Trimble
  • Knowledge of advanced geographic information concepts, systems, and applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with Python scripting and ETL software (FME) would be a significant asset
  • Ability to write and present clearly and effectively, from business cases to information sessions
  • A keen self-starter, with strong problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
