Job Description

Position Overview:

The HR Coordinator, Operations will provide general Human Resource support for the Canada Goose Production team in Winnipeg in various areas including: employee relations, health and safety, recruitment, orientation and training.

What You'll Do:

  • Provides regulatory and policy advice on workforce-related matters
  • Assist with corporate safety and health programs that support the well-being of employees in the facility through industry-standard processes and knowledge of legislative requirements
  • Administration of employee perk programs
  • Represent Canada Goose to external clients, including providing Factory tours, hosting job fairs and recruiting events
  • Provide new operations employees with a comprehensive onboarding program and applicable training
  • Support the coordination of local training opportunities as they relate to the client group. Communicate, market, coordinate & schedule various training events.
  • Conduct and track exit interviews with production floor staff
  • Prepare internal HR-related documents including employment, promotion and transfer letters, termination forms and progressive discipline letters
  • Ensure HRIS data is up to date and accurate; recommend process improvements for the system
  • Provide administrative support to HRBP and SR, HR Business Partner
  • Support/lead and implement various HR projects and initiatives
  • Other duties as required

Let's Talk About You:

  • A post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Health & Safety training including Joint Health & Safety Committee education/experience
  • Proven commitment to ongoing professional development within the HR profession
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation in Canada and Human Rights legislation
  • Well-versed in a number of HR functional competencies and standard processes
  • Excellent informal influencing and negotiating skills are required for interactions with the union and non-union staff
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail and committed to a high degree of accuracy
  • A clear and succinct communicator (verbal and written)
  • Ability to think proactively, critically and independently to make good decisions
  • Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Embrace continuous improvement by proposing new and/or better ways of doing things
  • Excellent technical ability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS)
