Role

As the Executive Director, Capital Projects and Planning, Mental Health and Addiction you will report to the Assistant Deputy Minister/Senior Financial Officer of the Ministry and provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring alignment with Ministry and Government compliance and regulations in establishing the ministry's capital program and related team. You will take the lead reviewing and evaluating mental health and addiction (MHA) infrastructure to ensure it meets the needs of the provincial economy and the growing population, while also remaining responsive to stakeholders. As Executive Director, you will lead developing the capital plan for MHA infrastructure, including related stakeholder engagement and corresponding submissions for the Capital Planning Initiative prioritization processes. Additionally, you will oversee developing, implementing and continually enhancing funding and reporting processes for approved projects, and ensure capital expenditures are accurately forecasted and budgeted. To confirm MHA Infrastructure meets the requirements and needs of a growing population, you will also provide strategic analysis and evaluation.

Qualifications

Your background will include significant related senior financial management experience in capital planning and stakeholder engagement within a large, complex organization. Extensive knowledge of government structure and accountability frameworks, combined with business and operational planning knowledge, will be critical as you transition into this dynamic role. Additionally, you bring demonstrated expertise in planning, coordination, and project leadership within a large, complex organization. Your leadership is known to empower and inspire teams to embrace innovation and strive for continuous improvement. As a leader, you have a reputation of elevating teams to new levels of success and fostering groups that embrace creative problem solving, demonstrate a solutions focus, and thrive during change. An ability to broker and negotiate solutions and resolve conflict will be essential for delivering results on ministry priorities. Communication and change management skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships will be key in balancing varying perspectives in a highly complex and changing business environment. A 4-year Bachelor Degree is required, ideally in business, engineering, or within a related area.

Salary

$4,934.42 - $6,484.75 Bi-weekly ($128,788.362 - $169,251.975 yearly)
